Normal life crippled due to bandha in Nepal

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Normal life in Nepal crippled as there is no vehicular movement due to CPN Masoist- Biplav appealed bandha today.

People could be seen walking to reach their destination though there is no one of Maoist cadre to stop the transportation. Ambulance, press related vehicles, police patrolling and tourists vehicles could be seen on the street.

Government owned Sajha Yatayat buses are being plied especially in capital city Kathmandu. The dense presence of security personnel could be seen around the road sides and junctions.

The touristy town Pokhara also was badly affected by the bandha. Amrit Sapkota who is said to be a cadre of CPN-Maoist Biplav has been arrested from the street of Pokhara in course of bandha. According to District Police Office Kaski, he will be released in the evening.

In Kathmandu, police have arrested 80 cadres of Maoists in charge of involvement in bandha. This bandha was said to be carried out against corruption, black market, price hike as well as to save food rights of the people.
