40 qualify for First YOUNEC Dancing Idol

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: 40 participants were selected for the First YOUNEC Dancing Idol, Informed Youth Network for Change (YOUNEC) Ghachok president Mausam Karki.

The dance contest that is going to be held a part of 2nd Ghachok Festival which is to be held on Decenmber 2 to 6 in Ghachok Village Development of Kaski. 14 contestants advanced in 2nd round from a preliminary selection held in Rastriya Higher Secondary School Tundikhel toady. Mankumar Shrestha and Jaya Kumar Pariyar were the juries of the selection.

According to festival coordinator Bishnu Bahadur Karki, the event is going to be held to promote the tourism and local products like milk and almonds of Ghachok. According to contest coordinator Narbada Kunwar, the second round of selection will be held at PCCI Hall in Pokhara. Finally selected 15 participants would vie for the idol.

The idol will get 50,000, first runner up will bag 30,000 and 2nd runner up will receive 20,000 Nepali rupees, informed YOUNEC vice president Vijay Lamsal. Federation of Community School Management Committee Presisent Hom Bahadur Nepali said that such contest would help to bring hidden talent of a person out.
