Millions of property gutted in Pokhara Hong Kong Bazaar firing

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: At least 20 shops gutted as fire broke out at Pokhara Hong Kong Bazaar in mid night on Wednesday, informed District Police Office (DPO) Kaski.

The bazaar which is also known as sasto bazaar and situated just north to the Pokhara Bus Park faced that tragedy triggering the property loss of millions Nepali rupees.

The fire sparked at around 10.30 pm and was taken control in 12 midnight. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepali Army and Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City Office fire brigade team personnel involved in that task.

The cause behind the firing was still unknown however it has been believed that the short circuit might be the reason behind the tragedy. DPO Kaski spokesperson and DSP Gaju Siddha Bajracharya said that the worth of lost property is being calculated.

The shutters of fancy items, shoes’ shop, beauty parlor, food grains’ outlet and grocery items were turned into ashes following the incident. Hong Kong Bazaar is a market of vegetable, fruits, garments and utensils.
