Ncell announces mobile TV pack, online TV

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Users now can watch TV on their mobile sets as Ncell launched mobile TV packs and online TV on October 26.

Ncell which is the country’s leading telecommunication company that has come up with above services in affordable rate. Following that announcement, Ncell costumers can enjoy TV anytime anywhere enabling GPRS connection in their handset. Mobile TV is a new concept in Nepali digital and media market. It might be a first time that making availability of TV service in handset through Ncell data.

According to Ncell, customers subscribing the packs will be able to watch TV online in Net TV App, a product of NITV Streamz Pvt. Ltd with which Ncell has partnered for the mobile TV service.  On the occasion of festival, this service will be available for the period of 15 days in both prepaid and postpaid SIM card of Ncell. The validity duration of subscribed pack comes with 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours and can be watched online in above mentioned application.

According to Milan Sharma, corporate communications expert of Ncell, 30 Mins pack costs Rs 35 and charge for 1 Hour pack is Rs 60. Similarly, 2 Hours and 3 Hours packs cost Rs 100 and Rs 150, respectively. The packs’ cost includes applicable taxes. All four packs can be subscribed in both one-time and auto-renew basis. For one-time, pack validity will be 24 hours after activation, while for recurring packs, they will be renewed at mid-night automatically.

Customers can activate the packs by dialing *17133# and selecting a needed pack. They can also buy the packs by sending SMS to 17133. For example, customers need to type 1 hr D and send it to 17133 for one-time one hour pack. For recurring, customers need to type 1hr and send it to 17133.

Customers can also buy the packs through IVR. After consumption of the packs, customers will be charged Rs 3 per MB, excluding taxes. If customers want to stop pack subscribed, they can deactivate by dialing *17133# and following instruction accordingly or by sending SMS to 17133. For example, a customer can type R2hr and send it to 17133 to deactivate 2 hour pack.
