Hotel Association to host Bhai Tika Festival

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Western Regional Hotel Association (WRHA) Pokhara is to organize a 10th Bhai Tika Festival 2016 on November 1 at Butterfly Child Care Center Lakeside in Pokhara.

Bhai Tika is celebrated on the last day of five-day long Tihar which is known as the festival of lights and assumed 2nd largest festival of Nepal especially in Hinduism. According to tradition, sisters offer Tika to their brothers during that day. Even brothers do same at the moment.

With a slogan- Celebrate Deepawali (Tihar) like Nepalese do in a vibrant city of Pokhara, such opportunity rarely comes to your life, the WRHA is going to offer such marking in USD 15 that includes verities of delicious festive foods, drinks, gift items and token of love, informed event coordinator and WRHA Pokhara treasurer Rajendra Dhakal. All total 30 tourists from various countries took part in such festival last year.

According to WRHA Pokhara President Bharat Raj Parajuli, the main motto behind the festival is a promotion of tourism through traditional Nepali culture. Conservation of Nepali culture and intensification of brotherhood and sisterhood among the world people are also the aims of that festival, added president Parajuli.

Deusi and Bhailo songs would be more attractions of the festival supported by Carlsberg, Hotel Glacier and the Harbor Restaurant and promoted by Nepal Tourism Board.
