Recentfusion.com–Pokhara : Popular Nepali poet and culturist Tirtha Shrestha performed in a solo program where he read more than a dozen of his poems, some songs and gajals (minors) at Ons Huis city hall in Leuven of Belgium on Sunday.
The weather was getting chill but it could be felt warm when Poet Shrestha started his poem reading among the audiences and Nepali Diasporas. He read the poems related to love, patriotism, and contemporary time. He started his reading with his famous poem- Aama (mother).
Pagalharu, Chupchap, Lahure, Fool, Ma Yeshodhara, Premko Pustak, Annapurna Woripari, Bhugol ma matra desh bachdaina, Bagh, Rajdhani, Kaviharu, Satta and Hiun ma lekhiyeka naamharu were some of the titles of his poems that he presented during the program organized by Indra Dhanush Club Leuven.
He also read some songs, muktaks (minors) and presented more poems as crowd chanted once more. Introducing Poet Shrestha, program coordinator Bhoj Bahadur GC said that Shrestha was a multi-dynamic personality with a capacity that he can include the complexity of life in his poems with simple and very touchy way. Poet Shrestha was felicitated by Pasa Pucha: Belgium during the program.
Organizer club adviser Madhav Sapkota, NRN Belgium president Gangadhar Gautam, NRN center committee secretary Arjun Kumar Shrestha, acting Nepali Ambassador to Belgium Ghanashyam Bhandari expressed their views in a program chaired by club president Min Gurung.
Nepali poets in Belgium Dipendra KC, Bimal Giri and Saurav Ranjitkar exchanged books with poet Shrestha in the program.
