Indian President Mukherjee likely to visit Pokhara

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Indian President Pranab Mukherjee who is scheduled to visit Nepal on November 2, is also going to visit touristy town Pokhara, Nepal’s leading media report.

The detail schedule of his visit has not been disclosed yet but it is said that the Mukherjee expressed his willingness to visit to Pokhara including religious cities Lumbini and Janakpur.

President Mukherjee is arriving under state visit in an invitation of his counterpart President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and will visit three cities of Nepal as well as capital city Kathmandu. Officials from Indian and Nepal are working to prepare the visit of President Mukherjee, the high level source from Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

However, the visit to outside Kathmandu is yet to be finalized formally. This is a highest level meeting not only after the Indian embargo and the promulgation of constitution in Nepal but also after President KR Narayanan was last visited to Nepal in 1998.
