Folk and duet song association elects new executive body

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Badri Pangeni has been elected as a president of National Folk and Duet Song Academy (NFDSA) on last mondy in Kathmandu.

The NFDSA general convention held on Septermber 24, 25 and 26 elected the 39 member executive body for upcoming tenure. Pangeni garnered 888 votes defeating his rivals Bishnu Khatri (508) and Tika Ram chapagain (330).

Ramesh BG in senior vice president, Pashupati Sharma in first vice president, Ramji Khand in second vice president, Rita Thapa Magar in woman vice president, were also elected in the committee. Subash KC was elected as general secretary of the committee.

Cholendra Paudel was elected in deputy general secretary. Shankar BC, Khuman Adhikari, Krishna Reule and Radhika Hamal were elected as secretaries of the committee. Deepak Khadka was unanimously elected in treasurer and Tika Pun in joint treasurer.

Similarly, Jeevan Dahal, Shiva Hamal, Parbati Rai, Raju Dhakal, Kulendra BK, Rajan Thakuri, Basanta Thapa, Santosh Ale Magar, Hari Dangi, Prachanda GC, Ramesh Raj Bhattarai, Ishwori Prasad Bhusal, Rajan Gurung and Binod Bajurali were chosen as a member of the committee.

Likewise, Devi Gharti, Muna Thapa Magar, Purnakala BC, Jamuna Rana, Janaki Tarmi Magar were elected as a woman member of the committee.

Krishna Prasad Gautam as province number II coordinator, Ramila Neupane as province III coordinator, Tarapati Subedi as province IV coordinator, Laxman Khadka as province V coordinator  and surat Rawat as province VII coordinator were also elected in the committee.

Nominations were not filed for province I and VI. All total 1775 representatives from 51 districts voted to elect the new committee of NFDSA.
