Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: All total 362 persons got their blood and urine tested in a free health camp regarding diabetes and kidney check up, organized here in Pokhara on Saturday.
The camp was collectively organized by Pokhara United Academy Secondary School (PUASS), Pokhara- 12 and the United Reference Laboratory Pvt.Ltd New Road Pokhara.
The camp offered 50 percent discount in blood test even in other diseases. The Bhadrakali Taxi Unit Committee, Dhikalethar Mothers’ Group, Dhikalethar Sewa Committee, Dhikalethar Tol Bikas Sanstha, Ranabhat and Bhat Society Kaski and the Amarsingh Commerce Committee were the co-organizers of the free camp.
Chief Guest and senior physician Dr. Tara Koirala said that the diabetes is the normal disease but could triggered paralysis, organ damage and even death in carelessness. He suggested visitors to have healthy lifestyle to prevent the diabetes problem.
URL managing director Thakur Prasad Pant informed that more than 13,000 patients had been benefited from 26 free health camp launched by URL in association with various organizations, in various places. He also said that URL offers the service of blood and urine test related to several diseases and problems.
The PUASS executive director Krishna Sapkota said that the school will launch such camp in future too to fulfill corporate social responsibility. The PUASS principal Deepak Regmi and teacher Tara Shrestha also expressed their remarks during the camp.
