Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association (WRA) Pokhara has unveiled its programs and policies for upcoming two years.
The programs were disclosed during TAAN WRA Pokhara 23rd annual general meeting and 14th conventions held in Pokhara on Saturday. According to TAAN WRA Pokhara secretary Binay Acharya, his organization will host an e-marketing training to its members coming year. Likewise, various languages training for trekking guides will also be launched.
Similarly, training for trekking guide, infrastructure development in previously explored trekking routes in between Beshishahar of Lamjung to Annapurna Base Camp of Kaski are also included in the programs. Development of a alternative route in Upper Mustang area, making of a documentary base on the trekking areas of Annapurna, Dhawalagiri and Manaslu, hosting of Farm Trip are also included in the upcoming programs.
Border City tour programs, mapping, construction of camp sites, installation of information boards and renovation of trekking route in Dhawalagiri trekking route, hidden lake promotion, skill development training to TAAN members, promotion of eco tourism, infrastructure development and farm trip in Gurung Heritage Trail, infrastructure development in Machhapuchhre Model Trek, promotion of Kafuche lake nearby Sikles are also the upcoming programs of TAAN Pokhara.
Development of hiking trail in Bharatpokharai region, campaign against illegal trekking and TIMS counter in Pokhara airport are also the included programs of TAAN Pokhara. Meanwhile, TAAN has felicitated its advisers and former presidents including journalist Santosh Pokhrel during the opening session.
The AGM and convention was inaugurated by TAAN center committee president Chandra Prasad Rijal. Pokhara Tourism Council president Som Bahadur Thapa, Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Bishwo Shankar Palikhe, NTB former member duo Tika Ram Sapkota and Agni Prasad Kandel, National Tourism Promotion Committee member Govinda Raj Pahari expressed their remarks during the AGM opening.
Likewise, Program coordinator Indra Man Chauhan, Tourism Office Pokhara chief Dol Raj Dhakal, TAAN center committee member Sonam Sherpa also spoke about tourism development in the program chaired by TAAN WRA president Ram Chandra Sharma.
