Flash-flood kills one, one missing in Pokhara

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Flash flood triggered by incessant rainfall killed a person in Pokhara on Saturday evening. Another one went missing as he he was swept away by the flash flood.

The deceased was Krishna Bahadur Thapa, 56, of Lamachaur Pokhara. He took last breath while he was being taken to hospital by police. Likewise, another incident occurred in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City- 17 Birauta where one person was swept away by flash flood.

According to police, the missing person is yet to be identified. At the same time, police also rescued 13 persons from Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City- 26 Chankhapur as they were in high risk following the torrential rainfall. Similarly, sinkholes were opened in Pokhara- 5, Tallo Kulako Dil due to incessant rainfall last night, informed Nabin Parajuli, a local youth.

Similarly, Mina Bhandari who was returning back to her room in Pokhara after having Dar (special meal before Teej Festival) on August 31st had swept away by swollen ground water caused by incessant rainfall, in Siddhartha Chok in the night time. Few hours later, her dead body had found in Phirke stream nearby incident site.

Likewise, the Pokhara-Baglung road was disrupted by the landslide caused by flash-flood last night. The incident was occurred in Kushma Municipality- 11, Parbat. According to Police, Division Road Office Baglung has cleared the disruption and the vehicular movement has just started.
