Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: CPN-UML center committee member and Parliamentary Development Committee Chairperson Rabindra Adhikari urged the government to bring out the road-map by September 16 for upcoming elections that should be hold within the stipulated time frame as per the existing constitution of Nepal.

Speaking in a press meet organized by Press Chautari Nepal Kaski in Pokhara on Sunday, Adhikari accused the government of not doing preparation for elections. “There is now 16 months left to hold election as per constitution,’ Adhikari added- but the government doesn’t seem serious over the preparation of elections.

Claiming that CPN-UML is not interested to go to the government, Adhikari said his party was ready to fully help the government but the elections should be held within stipulated time frame. “If the government can’t hold the election by mid April, it must say when will be the election?” Adhikari questioned.

He told the government to prepare the laws and regulations related to the elections. He also said that the extension of time frame for elections by amending the constituent would be extremely immoral take.

Adhikari also flayed the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s recent address in parliament. According to him, PM presented his working plans as like they are the policy and programs of the government. He further added that the policies and programs were presented by the previous government. ‘Neither the PM address was passed by the cabinet nor informally discussed among the coalition partners.’ Adhikari claimed.
