Hotel association cleans Phewa Lake

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: The Western Regional Hotel Association (WRHA) Pokhara launched a Phewa Lake cleaning program in Pokhara on Wednesday.

The program which was focused on removing water hyacinth from that lake was taken part by hundreds of people. The cleaning drive started from Camping Chok Ghat and ended at 500 meters north in Khahare.

Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, local clubs, mother groups including tourism related organizations’ representatives took part in the cleaning program. Phewa Boat Association has provided boats in free of cost to make the cleaning campaign success.

According to WRHA Pokhara President Bharat Raj Parajuli, his organization has been launching such cleaning program in and around Phewa Lake annually, for years.
