Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: CPN-UML vice chairman Bam Dev Gautam today said that his party won’t ready to amend the constitution as per the demand by Tarai base political parties.
Speaking in a press meet organized by Press Chautari Kaski chapter in Pokhara, Gautam also clarified that the constitution amendment could not take place without UML as there couldn’t be 2/3 majority until the party is ready for that task.
He also added that the provision of seven federal provinces would be intact at any cost. ‘If we go for constitution amendment, it becomes weaker and the constitution and politics get collapsed.’ he claimed.
He also claimed that the incumbent government couldn’t do anything new– neither development nor the task of prosperity. He also added that the UML’s former government was toppled as that came up with some new and effective policies and programs which are thought to be the hamper for other political parties.
He also praised the former PM KP Sharma Oli, saying that the Oli is patriotic leader who didn’t bowed before any forces. According to him, his party’s government was toppled as the constitution was made against the Indian interest.
Leader Gautam also said that the UML will actively participate to implement the constitution and come up with an agenda of directly elected executive in Nepal.
