
Recentfusion.com—Kathmandu: Newly elected Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda took the oath of office and secrecy in Sheetal Niwal on Thursday.
CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda was elected as 39th Prime Minister of Nepal on Wednesday. Prachanda was sworn in by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in a special ceremony in the premises of President Office.
Meanwhile Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi and CPN-Maoist Center leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara were also sworn in during the ceremony. NC leader Nidhi who is 2nd in cabinet hierarchy was given the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs. Similarly, Mahara was given the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister.
Likewise Ramesh Lekhak from NC, Gauri Shankar Tharu from CPN-MC and Daljit Sripailee from CPN-MC were also sworn in as the cabinet minister of the new government. Lekhak was given the responsibility of Physical Planning and Transportation ministry, Tharu was given the task of Agriculture Ministry and Sripailee was given the responsibility of Youth and Sports ministry. They were also sworn in during the ceremony.
Prachanda announced his government’s four priorities- constitution amendment, its implementation, reconstruction and employment generation as he took his office.
