Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: Lions Club of Pokhara Gandaki (LCPG) and Nepal Disable Welfare Association (NDWA) jointly organized a free health check up camp to physically challenged people in Pokhara on Saturday.
Technically assisted by Padma Nursing Home and Padma Nursing College, Cardiologist Dr. Narayan Gautam checked up the health of disabled patients. According to Sita Pandey, president of Lions Club of Pokhara Gandaki, Health Assistant Jivan Regmi and nurses from Padma Nursing Home assisted the camps.
All total 80 patients got health checked up and they were distributed medicines in free of cost. High blood pressure, headache, problem in stomatch, diabetes, kidney problem were diagnosed during the check up.
The camp was organized in Simal Chaur where dozens of patients herded for their health check up. Step by Step School provided free bus service to fetch the patients in the camp, in formed LCPG former president Indira Baral.
According to NDWA General Secretary Krishna Bahadur Bhujel, most of the disabled are economically poor, dominated by family members, out of easy access to health services. So, the camp remained very fruitful to those people.
