Rosy Pahari—Pokhara: The software giant Microsoft is going to buy a social networking site linkedIn in $26.2 billion-money deal, announced Monday. This deal is a biggest one in Microsoft history. LinkedIn is a business oriented social networking site with around 400 million members around the globe.
People use to share their professional skills and job history in LinkedIn. Microsoft’s chief executive Satya Nadella hopes that the Microsoft will do better following the acquisition of LinkedIn and he also hopes that the deal will help Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates to make his company valuable in the days come.
The deal has bought together to professional cloud and professional networking system. According to Jeff Weiner, the chief executive of LinkedIn, the deal started in last February and came into implementation now. Microsoft had bought Nokia in 2014 for $9.4 billion.
According to nytimes.com, on Sunday night, the Microsoft and LinkedIn executive teams had a final meeting together at Mr. Hoffman’s house before the deal was announced.
