Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet inaugurated the Area Administrator Office which is a branch office of District Administrator Office Kaski, in Lekhanath on Sunday. Inaugurating the area office Minister Basnet said that the office is example of the federalism that Nepal government is practicing following the announcement ofnNew constitution in Nepal.
The area administrator office was established to serve the people from Lekhnath Municipality and the surrounding Village Development Committees of that municipality. Minister Basnet also informed that the government has a policy of establishing more such area administrator office in other districts of Nepal.
In Lekhnath the areas office is established nearby Pokhara University Building. People from Thumki, Siddha, Rupakot, Hansapur, Deurali village development comittees have been facing difficulties to come to District Administrator Office Kaski for long time because of the distance matter.
The area office will provide the citizenship certificates and passports to the people. It is hoped that the working pressure will be reduce by quarter in DAO Kaski following the establishment of area office.
