PTC to organize rice planting festival

Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: With a slogan- Pokhara for all season, Pokhara Tourism Council (PTC) is to organize a 13th rice planting festival on June 29 at Mahat Gaunda in Pokhara.

Conservation of farming land, inspiring farmers towards their profession, tourism promotion through traditional farming system are some of the mottoes of this festival, informed festival coordinator Dambar Bahadur KC in a press meet held on Tuesday in Pokhara.

According to PTC president Som Bahadur Thapa, leveling the waterlogged mud, Asare songs competition, fish catching competition in muddy field, running competition, tug of war, farmer felicitation and cultural shows are some of the attractions of the festival.
