PM Nepal calls for national consensus

Pokhara: Newly elected Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal called for national consensus among the political parties to take a peace process to logical end and make constitution in stipulated time.

Addressing the countrymen in his first speech after being the 2nd Prime Minister of federal democratic republic Nepal, he also stressed on National unity. In his 20 minute long televised speech from his office, Nepal claimed that the new basis of new government is people supremacy.

Positive tasks of former government would be followed, said PM Nepal. He also appealed the people to work to make Nepal a peaceful and prosperous country. PM Nepal also thanked to former PM Prachanda and Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala for what they done to take a peace process up to this point. PM Nepal announced that the new government would address displaced people, family members of missing people during a decade long conflict. 

Prime Minister Nepal appreciated the Nepal Army and President Ram Baran Yadav's role. He also reminded that there is a mountain of challenges and added that the road ahead was not easy. But we will be able to face all the challenges, said PM Nepal.  He also called for dialogue to agitating and fighting various groups in the country.
